The V-Word

Yup, that V-Word.

The Vagina Monologues is being performed at Theatre 311 tonight and next week Thursday through Saturday by a very talented local cast, including my sister Tami!

You can reserve tickets by calling the theatre at 519-291-2033, or you can chance it and try to get a seat just by showing up. I honestly don't know whether that is usually possible or not, though, so probably best to call ahead. I do know that there will be one extra seat available on the night that we go, because my sister has given my Dad a free pass on seeing this one. ;)

I've never seen the Vagina Monologues before - snippets on TV, but never live - so I actually have no idea what to expect really. I'm sure it will be great, though! If you've been to see the show already (it's been running since Thursday), leave a comment!!

Oh, and a portion of the proceeds, according to the Theatre 311 website, will be donated to Optimism Place in Listowel, so your ticket comes with a wee bit of good karma at no extra charge.

I'm going tonight (Saturday), so if you see this blog post and it makes you decide to go, find me downstairs at intermission and tell me that, and I'll steal you an extra truffle. I'm willing to do the time.

I have no idea what photo to attach to this post, so I'm just going to leave it, and say Please Come out to Theatre 311 and See the Show! Be a patron of the arts. Doesn't that make you sound cool?

Lisa, I loved it! I don't know if it would have had the same impact on TV as it did live. I was thoroughly impressed, and to be honest, I'm kinda blase about these things most of the time.
