Abby is One!

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Amanda invited me out to shoot some One Year pictures of her daughter, Abby. Abby is just the happiest, cutest little thing ever. And it's immediately obvious that both of her parents adore her completely.

I loved her dress, and it worked nicely with the balloon :)


A couple days after our shoot, Abby started walking, but she stood for the longest she ever had while we were taking the photos above with her birthday balloon. I loved how excited her parents were, and I think she was pretty pleased with herself, too!

I've found that a lot of the time when I'm shooting portraits, and especially kids' portraits, I see the shots I'm taking as being part of framed sets or album pages. I'm not sure if it's just me, but when that's how I envision them to begin with, I love to see that come to fruition.

So, here's a vision I had of Abby's shoot while we were out playing!
