Chad and Jess: Married!

The thing I will remember most about Chad and Jess is how much they held hands throughout the day. Whenever they were within arms reach of each other, they held hands. And it was always a fluid motion, an easy connection; never an awkward tangle or a hindrance. They just looked like they belonged together, whatever they were doing. And I don't doubt for a moment that fifty years from now, you will be able to find Chad and Jess sitting together, holding hands and making each other smile, just like they did at their wedding.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding, and a gorgeous day for pictures. My friend Alan Nielsen, of Nine Live Photography, spent the day second shooting with me, and we both had a great time with Chad and Jess's family and friends. Thanks once again to Alan for the great job he did!

Here are a few more of my favourite shots, and I'll have a slideshow coming soon!

After the ceremony, we went to Mono Cliffs for a few pictures. This is also where we shot Chad and Jess's engagement session, and where they got engaged.

Then we headed to their reception venue, Mono Centre, which had beautiful grounds and scenery. It was a beautiful spot for the reception, and we grabbed a few more shots there before the party got started.

I love doing detail shots of all the elements of the wedding, especially the little things that couples (Okay, I think mostly brides) put so much thought into in order to make the day come together.

Isn't this cake amazing? Not to mention the adorable cup cakes.

And, one last picture, that I've been having trouble deciding whether I like. Any thoughts?

Chad and Jess - Thank you so much for making me a part of your day. I had a wonderful time, and I truly hope to meet up with you guys again!

Beautiful shots under the trees and I love your ring & cake shots, too!

The silhouette on the last shot is gorgeous, but I'm not 100% sure on the sky colour myself...

I love the pics too. I really enjoy seeing the details photographed..

The last picture, I like it. The sky is awesome, and the siloutte is perfect.. however..
not sure that i get a romantic vibe from it.

Still, I think its awesome.

I guess I am in the minority - i LOVE the last photo. I have tears in my eyes looking at it. I agree with Amanda Jane that is does not have a romatic vibe - to me that photo is more about the marriage than the wedding. The sky is a little dark and forbidding but hand in hand and together Chad and Jess can handle it.

Love the last photo - Unexpected and moody in the best possible way. Not your average wedding photo, which I think works very much in it's favor. I enjoy the whole juxtaposition thing - young couple vs. vaguely forbidding sky, and I read it the same way Tami did; marriage is all about going through life together, no matter what it throws at 'ya...
