Listowel Fair - Day Two

Okay, so I've sifted through some of my photos from Friday at the fair. On Friday, I checked out the exhibits in the ag hall, and then I went and watched the ATV and garden tractor pulls. I've never been to any kind of pull before in my life, and I had no idea what to expect. I really didn't even know how it all worked. It was really cool! That's all I'll say for now about it, but I'll definitely have more to say when I get the actual tractor pull pics posted, but that didn't happen until Saturday night.

A first place flower arrangement:

Posters showing the fair theme:

As a scrapbooker I really enjoyed the awesome cards that were entered.

A Lego take on Git 'r' Done with 911:

A random shot of the antique tractors that were on display all weekend. I had really wanted to go take more pictures of them, and then it just slipped my mind. I'll have to remember next year to make time.

Then I was off to the ATV and garden tractor pull. Like I said, I had NO idea what to expect or how it all would work.

A lot of younger folks registered. Here are some kids lined up waiting for their turn to pull.

After a good pull.

Some of the ATVs especially went really fast.

I saw this move a lot - the leaning back. I'm sure there's science behind it.

It was a bit rainy, so of course, it was very muddy.

Just a couple of garden tractors that were sitting around and I liked them.

I can't wait to go through the photos from Saturday night, but as I write this it is really really late, and I need to get to bed. Thanks to everyone for checking out my blog!

Hey Amanda...I was just here looking thru some of your pics (you're great by the way!) And thought I would let you know that the reason why they 'lean back' when pulling, is to try and keep as much weight at the back as possible!...There is definitely a science about it, as you said!
