Rainy Days

If you're not from around here (I think there are a few of you out there who see my blog now and then) then you won't know that summers around here are usually hot and dry. We generally go weeks without rain. I think last year we went a full month at one point. If you're from around here, then you'll be among those of us who are wondering what is up with this summer?

Personally, I'm loving it. Maybe it's just because I like change, and I guess it helps that I don't have vested interest in the weather. We've had so many beautiful sunny days with splashes of rain, or a sudden downpour, or an overnight thunderstorm. It's almost July and everything is still so green. I think it's awesome.

That being said, I've always loved rain, and I don't have hay to bail (like so many do) or a partially finished addition to my house with no roof on it yet (like my parents do).

Anyway, I grabbed this shot of my parents' horses tonight just after the cloudburst that hit us so suddenly. Looks like they're getting used to all this rain, too!

Mosty I just wanted to blog to say that I'm loving this weather. If anyone else out there is digging it, too, then let me know, cause I'm feeling pretty alone here!!

Can't say as the weather impacts me much either way. The rain is alright as long as there is sun mixed in so it is not dark & dreary!!!

Love the picture of the horses!!!

Hi anonymous!

I hope you check back since I don't have a way to get in touch. I've never done a show or sale before, but I would LOVE to. Feel free to get in touch with me at amanda@livingproofphotography.ca if you want to talk about it. I would be really interested in doing it!

Thanks!
