Casey & Greg

A swarm of people rushed Greg inside the little chapel where Greg and Casey had decided to have their first look at each other on their wedding day. Casey had arrived, and was about to get out of the car. Greg stood hidden in a corner, surrounded by groomsmen, and Casey stood ten feet away in the entry way, surrounded by bridesmaids. When she turned the corner, Greg's face lit up. Everyone in the room was smiling, some of them through tears. The unrefined joy was nearly palpable. In that moment, it was clear that Casey and Greg aren't just two people with love between them; they're two people surrounded by love.

Through the photos, the ceremony, and the reception, it only became more obvious that every single person in attendance was simply and without condition, happy for them. It was a beautiful day that absolutely overflowed with love and support, just the way a wedding should.

Thank you, Greg and Casey, for making me part of your wedding day. I was honoured to be able to capture it, and spend time with your families, who are some of the friendliest, warmest people I've ever met. Best of everything to all of you!

We started the day off at The Dufferin Country Museum. It has very unique indoor locations, and beautiful grounds with lots of photo opportunities as well. Greg and Casey had their first look here, and then we did family and bridal party photos. This was the first time I've done the photos this way at a wedding, and it was great. Not only did it mean that guests didn't have to wait after the ceremony while pictures were done, everyone got to go relax for a bit in between photos and the ceremony.

Their intimate, candle-lit ceremony and their fun-and-laughter-filled reception both took place at the gorgeous Monora Park Pavilion. It's a hidden gem that you'll probably have to get directions from someone local to find. But it's worth asking!
